Egg shells are notorious for carrying Salmonella, a bacterial food poisoning agebacterially always wash the eggs, make sure that storage is adequate with standards, make sure there are no cracks or blemishes of the eggs and that there is no horrible smell. Also crack and peel the egg shells back, do not toss in a full egg into a pan with shell attached (some people do that and they are time bombs). Also thoroughly cook.

Make sure the eggs were refrigerated and not frozen prior to use. Clean egg before cracking it. Check for cracks in the eggshells and throw out any frozen or cracked/unrefrigerated eggs.
