What would happen if the hawksbill turtle went extinct

Their ecological environment and ecosystem might be affected. The animals that these turtles hunt and eat may expand in population size if there are no other predators, and predators that prey mainly on these turtles will see the opposite effect happen since their primary food source is no longer there. Furthermore, if the turtle went extinct because of competition by a new entrant to the environment, the environment might find itself at odds until the whole environment finds a way to balance itself out.
