"D"

Adipose tissue or "Fat" is literally stored energy. We humans as mammals when having extra energy we don't need will store said fat for later use. Now normally the energy we get comes from the use of glucose and oxygen. When we don't have glucose our bodies will begin to use the fat. However what happens when there is little to no fat?

Simple.... We digest the thing we can live without; muscles. When this happens you run the risk of several things, including acidosis as the result of acidic by product of the breakdown of muscle.
