A cat jumped 3 times. Starting at the porch, he jumped 3 feet. Then he jumped 5 inches less than the first jump. Finally he jump 1 1/2 feet further than his second jump. What were the lengths of his jumps. How far from the porch is the cat now? HELP ME PLEASE

3 feet = 36 inches

#1 - 36 inches
#2 - 36 + 31 = 67 inches
#3 - 67 + 18 = 85 inches

Cat is 85 inches or 7 feet 1 inch away from the porch

1st jump = 3 feet ( 36 inches)

2nd jump was 36 - 5 = 31 inches = 2 feet 7 inches

3rd jump was 1.5 feet ( 18 inches) + 31 inches = 49 inches = 4 ft 1 inch

total 3 feet + 2 feet 7 inches = 5 feet 7 inches + 4 ft 1 in = 9 feet 8 inches ( 116 inches)
