According to The Nature of Theory and Research in Social Psychology, written by By Clyde Hendrick and Russell A. Jones. This can be possible, and if it does, the experiment can go between several variables and prove a theory across different more experiments. If an experiment then gives internal and external validity it answers questions that give a generalization.
