There are all kinds of branding and marketing terms and loopholes that companies take advantage of when they're designing their products and packaging. For example, even though "sugar-free" sounds like there is no sugar in the product, companies are technically allowed to say their product has no sugar as long as its sugar content is below 0.5 grams per serving.
