The answer to the question above is RIGHT VENTRICULAR HEART FAILURE. Right ventricular heart failure is one of the common right-sided heart failures. What happens is that, this part of the heart (right ventricle) is unable to cooperate and function well in the heart's pumping ability. The edema of the patient results due to the blood backing up into the parts of the body. This is due from congestion and the limbs are one of the most commonly affected along with the liver and gastrointestinal tract. Aside from edema or swelling of the feet and ankles, the patient can also experience shortness of breath, irregular and increased heartbeat, and frequent urination.
