Lara makes the following statement: "There is an 80% chance of rain tomorrow and a 10% chance I will go to the park." What is the chance that it will rain tomorrow and Lara will go to the park? 90% 70% 8% 6% plz help!

Here we have two separate events:  "rain" and "go to the park."  If we assume that these two events are independent, then the probability that they will occur simultaneously (which is called an "intersection") is the product of the two given probabilities:  0.8*0.1 = 0.08, or 8 percent.
