An Experimental Research tests a hypothesis about a cause and effect relationship using dependent and independent variables. The independent variable is the variable that is manipulated in an experiment; while the dependent variable is the outcome or the subject that is influenced by the independent variable to determine the effectiveness of a certain treatment or condition.
