We have two similar triangles.
A ( small ) = 10.5 m²
A ( large ) = 94.5 m²
h ( small ) = ? and h ( large ) = 9 m.
A s : A l = h s² : h l ²
10.5 : 94.5 = h s² : 9²
h s² * 94.5 = 81 * 10.5
94.5 h s² = 850.5
h s² = 850.5 : 94.5
h s² = 9
h s = √ 9
h s = 3 m
Answer: The altitude of the smaller triangle is 3 m.
