Green plants and blue green algae on the terrestrial biome are considered to be producers. They intake carbon dioxide from the environment, water from soil and converts these raw materials in to glucose in the presence of sunlight.

This glucose produces by this process provides energy to them for the various metabolic reactions taking place in the body of producers.

Common unused materials like water, carbon dioxide, and other minerals is used to make sugar through photosynthesis. They obtain the energy through the sugars.
