D. Cotton Clothing The Five Civilized Tribes adopted the style of dress of the Europeans. This included clothing made out of cotton fibers as opposed to animal skins. They wanted to more closely resemble the ‘civilized’ dress of the Europeans and so operated cotton plantations.
