It is an example of Atkinson-Shiffrin memory model. It is because this model enables to explain as to why Aleah remembers the name of her dog and cat, and in a way that she can't remember the name of her first grade teacher's dog and cat. The reason this happened because this model divides the memory into components in which it will discuss how the memory enters, how it will only stay as a short memory and how it would be stored in the long term memory.
