4. Find the mean absolute deviation (MAD) for the following data:

77, 74, 81, 83, 78, 84, 79, 82, 75, 82, 79, 79

2.26 is the Mean Absolute Deviation. This is found by finding the arithmetic mean of the dataset and finding the difference between each value and the arithmetic mean, these differences are then averaged to find the MAD.
