Answer: C. it has included practices that lead to pollution of soil and water

Agriculture is the practice of cultivation of economically valuable crops which are food, fibers and medicinal in origin in order to sustain humans and animal species. To increase the productivity of crops farmers or planters take different measures such as increased use of chemicals such as fertilizers, pesticides and weedicides. These chemicals although prevent the crops from disease causing pathogen, makes nutrients available for plant growth. But they contaminate the soil in which crops are growing and pollute the nearby water sources.
