A client has a spinal cord transection at the T4 level, it is expected for a nurse to see the client having reduced ability of controlling muscles (especially at the abdomen and chest) or throughout the trunk of the body. This is the usual case because the T4 — T8 levels of the vertebrae regulates the muscles of the chest and trunk of the body.
