In conservative defense, Many people indeed irresponsibly abuse the welfare system and choose to live solely on welfare rather than to work.
The one that most influenced by this is actually the one who actually need the welfare (such as unemployed disabled or elderly) whose name must be tainted because of the irresponsible people
