so we need to find the radius of the rim of the wheel whose circumference is 27 inches

so

r = C/(2*pi)

r = 27/(2*3.14)

r = 27/6.28

r = 4.30

so the radius of the rim of the wheel is the 4.30

circumference is given as 27 inches

so 27 = PI x D

27=3.14xD

so D=27/3.14 = 8.598,

radius = (1/2)D = 4.30 inches
