An eagle is a predator for squirrels. a new law stops humans from hunting eagles, and the eagle population increases. what will happen to the squirrel population?

The squirrel birthrate will decrease

As eagle feeds on squirrels, an increase in the number of eagles, will obviously lead to a decrease in the number of squirrels.
If eagle population was declining, then squirrel population must have been on a rise. Implementation of this new law will keep squirrel population in check, and help in conservation of eagles.
