What is the perimeter of the trapezoid with vertices Q(8, 8), R(14, 16), S(20, 16), and T(22, 8)? Round to the nearest hundredth, if necessary.\

the answer:
according to the figure, the perimeter is
QR + RS + ST+TQ = P
the distance QR = sqrt (6² + 8²) = 10
the distance RS = sqrt (6² + 0² = 6
the distance ST= sqrt (2² + 8²) = 8.24
the distance TQ = sqrt (14² + 0²) = 14
so finally the perimeter is P= QR + RS + ST+TQ = 10+6+8.24+14=38.24
