Why do many people still argue about the decision to drop atomic bombs on Japan in 1945?

Because it is a sensitive topic. Some believe that it was revenge for Japan's bombing of Pearl Harbor, while others say it was wrong to use such powerful weapons, bombing not one, but two towns, and killing more than 129,000 innocent japanese people.
