The answer is D.  A is incorrect because neutrons are an integral part of atoms. B is incorrect because electrons can't be in the nucleus. C is false because protons are only outside the nucleus in antimatter.

Answer: D

Step-by-step explanation:

In an atomic model of an atom, the nucleus consists of protons and neutrons while the electrons revolves round its orbitals outside the nucleus. The protons are positively charged while the electrons are negatively charged so as to counter electric charges and make the atom electrically neutral.
