The National Organization for Women, which was created in the 1960s, does many things, but mainly "establishes a national network of activists to enable women to work against discrimination".

hopes this helps :)

The National Organization for Women (NOW) was founded in 1966 inspired by the Civil Rights movement, women who founded NOW wanted to ensure equal treatment for both sexes. For that, they drafted a Title VII for the Civil Rights Act which would prohibit employers from discriminating against employees based on sex, race, colors, nationality, and religion.

The NOW members contributed very much for the women’s rights movement, they participated on marches and vigils against sexual assault and power-based violence against women, they marched for women’s reproductive health care options amongst others actions.
