In polygon PQRS, m∠R = 30°, m∠PQS = 50°, and SR = 5 cm.

If bisects , then cm.

Throughout your calculations, round off the answer to the nearest tenth.

We are given
m∠R = 30°
m∠PQS = 50°
SR = 5 cm.

I have attached the diagram for this problem and what is asked here is the length of line segment PQ

Since SQ bisects PQR, then
angle SQR = 50°

using the sine law
SQ / sin R = SR / sin SQR
Subsituting
SQ / sin 30 = 5 / sin 50
SQ = 3.26

Using trigonometry
cos PQS = PQ / SQ
cos 50 = PQ / 3.26
PQ = 2.10 cm
In polygon PQRS, m∠R = 30°, m∠PQS = 50°, and SR = 5 cm. If bisects , then cm. Throughout-example-1
