Answer: (3a)^3

Explanation:

Notice that 3a, has parentheses around it when written in exponential notation. If the parentheses had been omitted, the resulting term, 3a^3, would not cube the 3. Therefore, it would be incorrect. This is a very common error. (3a)^3 cubes both the 3 & a.
