I'd say it's A because while the energy cannot be lost, it can not be 100% efficient because if it was we wouldn't have to worry about energy.

Answer:

A. Energy transfers are never 100% efficient

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the first law of thermodynamics energy can neither be created nor destroyed but it can be converted from one form to another. According to the second law of thermodynamics transfer of energy is never 100% efficient in a machine. There is always loss of energy due to wear and tear of the machinery.
