What might happen in a tropical rain forest Biome if of the area received very little rain for an extended period of time

most things in that particular biome would become abiotic because with out rain, the tropical rain forest wouldn't be so tropical and plants wouldn't grow and without plants, the animals wouldn't have anywhere to adapt to.
