In contrast to emerging adults, adolescents tend to engage in risk-taking or reckless activities. This is probably because they are seeking approval from their peers and from other outside factors that are found within their immediate environment. This could also mean that parts of their cognitive development has not reached its full potential that’s why they have very little fear of what’s going to happen to them in the future.
