First you multiply everything my a negative to get rid of the negative on the w because a negative times a negative equals a positive. You end up with -576, then find the square root of -576 which is 24, so W=24.

(-24)^2 = 576
What you do is you square root each side and in turn, you get, -w = 24 then you move the negative to the right so its, w = -24!
