The events and causes leading up to World War I and World War II. How are they similar? In what ways are they different? Can any of the characteristics be seen today?

both started by the acts of violent crimes but were both different ww1 started by the assasination of an archduke ferdinand. Ww2 started by the bombing of pearl harbor. The characteristics are similar do to how each country reacted to the situation.
