Describe the difference between spongy bone and compact bone

Well for starters, one of the differences is that compact bone forms on the outer layers while spongy bone forms on the inner layer of bones. Also, Spongy bone tissue doesn't have rods or plates. Instead it has trabeculae. Unlike Compact bone.
