Decomposition cycle nutrients from dead organisms back to the soil, where it becomes available for plants. It is a natural process in which dead animal or plant tissue being is rotted or broken down. Invertebrates, fungi and bacteria are the main carriers of this process. The stages of the decomposition process are Fresh, Bloat, Active and Advanced Decay, and Dry/Remains.
