The induction of vibrations in an object due to the vibrations in another object is known as resonance. Resonance occurs when an object vibrates at the resonance frequency of another object. The synchronous vibrations of the two objects create an amplitude of vibration that is larger than the amplitudes of vibration of the individual objects.
