LOTS OF POINTS! Explain what point Gordimer is trying to illustrate through the contrast in “The Train from Rhodesia” between the description of the wooden figures and the description of the begging children. i have read it... and i STILL don't see the relation or even the description of the children.

That's a small part of it. She's a rich white woman who has bought a lot of these hand carved wooden animals. And yet, in contrast, the impoverished African children are begging for pennies.
