Legato notes are played faster than staccato notes. true or false

Depends on the piece technically, however Legato notes are usually played as slurred but does not forbid the re-articulation of the note(s). It may depend on the BPM, and the Phrasing but usually Legato is played slower than staccato in terms of articulating.

False. Legato is water, it's supposed to flow. Staccato is like fire, it's supposed to be fast and sturdy.
