An author released his book on May 1. His daily sales steadily increased until they peaked and then steadily declined. He found that his sales could be described by the absolute value function h(x) in which x represents the time since the release of his book (in days) and h(x) represents his weekly sales (in hundreds of books). What would be an appropriate domain for this function?

The domain of a certain function are all possible values of x that are applicable to the function or can make the function true. For this certain function, the domain is from the time that the book was released to the time that the sales was also zero due to steady decline in sales.
