in y = mx + b, the slope is in the m position.

y = 3x + 1.....slope = 3
y = -7x + 7....slope = -7
y = 5x - 2....slope = 5
y = 1/2x + 3...slope = 1/2

to find the steepest slope, take the absolute value of the slopes and pick the largest one.

so the steepest slope is : y = -7x + 7
