When the line crosses the x-axis, y==0:
x²-x-2=0
(x-2)(x+1)=0 Factored
x-2=0 Find x
x+1=0
x=2,-1
Plug x value(s) into the original equation
x²-x-2=y
(2)²-2-2=y
y=0 (2,0)
(-1)²-(-1)-2=y
y= 0 (-1,0)
