Coral reefs are the aquatic ecosystems found mostly in the oceanic water. Coral polyps are the living organisms which are responsible for building reefs The colonies of these organisms forms hard reef of calcium carbonate. Fishes and other aquatic organisms find shelter, food, reproduce and rear their young ones in these coral reefs.
