The two angles are both vertical angles, and supplementary angles.
They are vertical because they are on opposite sides of two intersecting lines.
The are supplementary because their angles have a sum of 180°. (90+90=180)

one answer is vertical because the angles line up vertically and have exactly the same measure of 90 degrees
