The average temperature at the South Pole is – 45º F. The average

temperature on the Equator is 92º F. How much warmer is the average
temperature on the Equator than at the South Pole?

The answer is 47 degrees. Simply just change the negative number into a positive to get a positive outcome. Then subtract 92-45 since more than is the key word for subtraction. So the temperature on the equator is 47 more degrees warmer than the temperature on the South Pole. WOW! I never knew that!

It is 137 degrees fahrenheit warmer on the equator than the south pole.
