I like your determination

1. Identify what type of number the denominator indicates:
1/10 = .1
1/100 = .01
1/1000 = .001
And so on

The trick is to find how many 0's there are in the denominator and move the decimal point in the numerator to the left that many times.

There's actually only one step, but in your case I will show you how to solve:

36/10 has 1 zero
Take 36 and move the decimal point to the left
36.0
