How would the extinction of owls effect the the grasshopper population?

I would agree with the answer above the grass hopper population would increase due to a lack of predator.

The extinction of owls would increase the grasshopper population because the owls would not be eating any grasshoppers allowing the grasshoppers to reproduce and stay alive longer.
