What caused these differences and similarities? Egyptians made pyramids to bury mummified Pharaohs! Answer: We concluded that Mayan architecture is different from Egyptian architecture because the Mayans built their temples to worship their gods and to make human sacrifices but the Egyptians built their pyramids to bury mummified Pharaohs.

We think that since the Mayans built their temples/pyramids during 600 B.C. and 400 B.C. that they had different gods, goddesses, and building materials than the Egyptians who built theirs during 3,700 B.C and 2,600 B.C.
