Why were the Balkans so important to Germany's war effort?

It offered a warm-water port.
It supplied much of the oil and gas.

The answer is B, It supplied much of the oil and gas. They got it from the puppet state, known as Croatia at the time, cared about it. They would get the oil, then send it to Germany for the troops. I hope this helps! ~Mia
