Cookies baked = 12 × 3 (number of trays) = 36
Bags = 4
In 4 bags = 36 cookies
in 1 bag = 36/4 = 9 cookies (divide both sides by 4)
SO 9 COOKIES WERE PLACED IN EACH BAG
