Intersecting lines or line segments cross at one point. Perpendicular lines or linesegments form right (90°) angles when they intersect.

Perpendicular line: 2 lines that intersect at a 90 degree angle (only 90 degrees)
Intersecting line: basically 2 lines that intersect anywhere, as long as they touch at least once
