Total number of students in the high school = 438

As its given, the number of males and females are almost same, so the number of males students are =
(438)/(2)= 219

Its asked if the first 50 students leave the school. then how many are females, so it can be given as =
(50)/(2)=25

So, the chances of the students being females are
(25)/(50) or
(1)/(2).

Hence, 25 females can leave the school out of 50 students.
