1.The economy of this society is based on agriculture and the society is divided into a number of classes based on the feudal system. For example, the zamindars, the peasants and the bonded laborers.

2.The system of production is based on the use of manual power.

3.Means of transport and communication are underdeveloped.

4. A system of joint family prevails, since a number of hands are required on the fields.
