Why do you think so many young girls develop eating disorders? Do you think society plays a role? Why do you think girls develop more eating disorders than boys? Or, do you think boys have as much of a problem but it is just not recognized?

Young girls receive information from social media or school that cause them to believe they need to look a certain way. Society definitely plays a role since it puts forward these ideas. I believe that girls develop more eating disorders than boys because most girls care more about how they look since they appear (to me) more targeted with criticism on appearance. However, that does not mean there are no boys with eating disorders, I just think that there are fewer.
